Today’s task is to research the FLQ/October Crisis and write a “briefing” to the Prime Minister on whether it’s appropriate to invoke the War Measures Act.
ASSIGNMENT
The briefing should not exceed one typed page and must include specific events from the crisis, direct references to the War Measures Act, and plainly detail the amount of freedom you want to give up (or preserve) in relation to the security of the people.
