Social 20: Current Events Podcasting

For the first part of Monday you will be divided into groups and engaging with podcast segments from yesterday’s edition of The Sunday Magazine.

Each group will be responsible for listening to one segment that’s roughly 25 minutes long. From there, each group will be responsible for:

  • Providing a brief summary of the key items discussed in the form of a “one pager” (think political briefing for people that aren’t very bright) – quotes are particularly helpful here
  • Linking in no fewer than three (3) current events articles from a variety of publications
  • Making clear linkages to our course content (think nationalism, ultranationalism, internationalism and all related concepts)

Additionally, each group member will be responsible for submitting a 150 word reflection on what they believe to be the most interesting takeaways from their respective podcast episodes.

Group 1: AFN national chief RoseAnne Archibald on the road ahead after Rome

TC, TyC, BR, TS, KV, RT

Group 2: How the war in Ukraine could revitalize democracy around the world
